While crowd-funded documentary Pixel Heart is attempting to showcase the experiences and tribulations that game developers go through, yet another (successfully) crowd-funded video game documentary is making waves.

Featured above, you can check out the debut trailer for Video Games: The Movie, a documentary that saw a successful Kickstarter last year. Written and directed by Jeremy Snead (whose film career seems to begin with this very movie), the entire experience is not just about the creators of video games, but the gamers themselves, and the future of the gaming industry.

The movie itself will be premiering soon on the silver screen in both the United States and Canada, on July 15th. If you hate the crowds, the film will be available the same day via iTunes and other digital platforms.
