With Bandai Namco ramping up for Tales of Berseria’s release later this month in Japan, a new TV ad ran featuring Velvet, the main protagonist.
Featured above, the commercial featured a few glimpses of some interesting looking scenes, which should certainly generate some excitement with the release date so close.
Tales of Berseria releases in Japan on August 18th for PS4 and PS3. Berseria is also coming West sometime in early 2017, on PS4 and PC.

August 5, 2016 at 11:56 amThat was a well constructed TV spot – it featured the main character,
her motivation, the world in general and it showcased the gameplay.

August 5, 2016 at 12:34 pmSo Japan is misogynistic and yet creates an edgy cool female character with backstory. Yeah Japan sure hates women alright. -_- (Sarcastic post)

August 5, 2016 at 12:54 pmThe trend so far (Twitter, forums, reddit, etc.) is that SJWs are actually liking the game, but absolutely hating the design of Velvet because of the usual reasons.

August 5, 2016 at 1:25 pmMostly likely that too.
They are not happy with her costume because it’s “too revealing” and “shows that video games still need to grow up”.

August 5, 2016 at 3:10 pmThat’s the real problem right there. There will always be morons who like to bitch and moan about every single fucking thing. Can’t do much about them. The problem is when content creators are caving in to these people.Even when they have the full support of their fanbase-who are also their paying customers I must add. Many times in spite of their fanbase. So stupid it boggles the mind.

August 5, 2016 at 3:19 pmTOZ the X is a prequel ad to Berseria. That’s some sneaky marketing, Bamco.

August 5, 2016 at 3:39 pmAnd the thing is, it’s not really about “positive” depictions of women for them.
It’s actually all about making women characters NOT attractive to men. That really does seem to be the top priority of these regressive little pricks.

August 7, 2016 at 2:05 amHopefully dual audio will be included just like Zestiria and the pc port will now have correct 60 fps timing/vsync implementation ( No stutterfests or screen tearing of the usual shitports ).
