We’ve learned (via Persona Central) that Vanillaware’s long-awaited mecha game, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, will finally get properly unveiled this year.
Atlus is preparing to showcase the game at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo, news coming by way of the event’s exhibitor page.
Here’s what Atlus’ official blurb says:
Atlus U.S.A., Inc. is known for high-quality, deeply immersive, uniquely Japanese and indie video game experiences. Sega is a worldwide leader in interactive entertainment software products. Don’t miss our booth featuring highly anticipated titles from Atlus and Sega, including Yakuza 6, Yakuza Kiwami, Sonic Forces, Sonic Mania, and 13 Sentinels.
The game was announced way back in 2015 for both PS Vita and PlayStation 4, and we haven’t really heard much about the game since. A collaborative game between Atlus and Vanillaware, we only have a trailer to go on for now – but the game looks to be right up there with Vanillaware’s pedigree (Dragon’s Crown, Odin Sphere, etc).
While a western release wasn’t confirmed, the fact that Atlus USA is going to showcase the game leads us to believe this will be confirmed alongside the game’s re-reveal.
We’ll keep you guys posted.
