Vanillaware new fantasy game teased in 2019 still coming, development nearly done

Vanillaware

We’ve learned Atlus and Vanillaware’s previously teased fantasy game is still coming, and possibly sooner than you think.

Originally teased way back in 2019, the new fantasy game from Vanillaware and Atlus came in a paid demo for their previous game, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim Prologue, and was buried in the bonus content.

We haven’t heard about the game since, only now Vanillaware co-founder George Kamitani randomly let slip a few big development updates to a Nintendo blog.

“In March 2019, for reasons I’m not going to go into, we only sold the prologue to 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, but it included a video of the following title of it,” Kamitani said to Nintenderos.

“And now, it’s finally finished. I’m not the director of that title, but it’s one of Vanillaware’s biggest productions, so please look forward to it!”

He added, “Lastly, the title I’m working on right now won’t be finished for several years, but once that big title I’m telling you about is finished, I should get some development staff, so development of my project will come into play. end in full swing.”

It’s worth reiterating that neither a release date nor launch platforms have been confirmed for this title – though we’ll keep you guys posted.
