Although Vampire Survivors just got a full release, developer poncle isn’t slowing down. They’ve just released a 1.1.0 “tiny update” to the game, adding new content and more.
The new update adds a new challenge stage called the “Tiny Bridge”, an appropriate name judging from the teaser and how much carnage it will see. The level will facilitate the bloody feud between two rivalling factions.
Also added in the update is a new secret character “Scorej-Oni”, two new achievements, various improvements and bug fixes, as well as the new “Seal” powerup. The latter is most interesting because it scales up to 10 ranks, unlocks after banishing 10 or more items in a run, and lets you banish items from leveling up or even light sources.
Yes, that’s right – you’ll be able to even banish those crummy items (they drop as coins instead) you never need or don’t particularly want when you’ve reached walking death machine status. Who needs turkeys to top you off when you’re unloading endless DPS to anything walking within your periphery?
The two new achievements were added alongside an apology to completionists: “Sorry for the extra achievements ruining your completion rate, most players seem to be in favor of having them so I took the opportunity to add more,” poncle said in the update. “The best I could come up with to make them feel less of a ‘must have’ is to tag them as EXTRA achievements.”
Here’s a new trailer for the Vampire Survivors update:
Vampire Survivors has been available for Windows PC (via Steam) since December 2021 and now Xbox consoles, and quickly became an indie hit.
