The Valkyrie of Phantasm Prelude, a Touhou project will be first sold at the convention dedicated solely to the Touhou fanbase.
Developer Areazero announced they will be selling Valkyrie of Phantasm Prelude at the Reitaisai 19 convention which will occur on May 8th. The game, which is a “prelude” version of Valkyrie of Phantasm, is for PC. Where those purchasing the game there will be given a download card. A digital release is expected on a unknown later date.

Valkyrie Arms” were brought by someone from outside the fantasy world. It is said to have the power to increase the wearer’s flying ability many times over, and the deeper the bond between partners, the faster and stronger they become. The “Valkyrie Arms” scattered throughout Gensokyo become the wings of the girls and lead them into a game of super high-speed bullets.

Girls wearing “Valkyrie Arms,” a unit that enables super high-speed battles. The visual aspect of the game is a combination of Toho Project characters and mechanical units.

Evolving game system
Elements not implemented at the time of initial release (May 2022). We plan to add elements not implemented at the time of the initial release (2022) through updates as needed.
- Addition of spells that can be used – Special spells, Accelerated Drive spells, Ultimate spells, etc. will be added.
- Addition of new abilities – We will add more types of abilities that strengthen characters.
- Addition of battle stages – Additional stages corresponding to each character will be added.
- Addition of game mode (story) – A new game mode (story) will be added, where players can play against each other along the storyline.
- Enhanced game system and graphics – We will add elements that have not yet been implemented, such as a 2v2 battle mode.
Obviously this release is very exclusive, as it is for those attending Reitaisai 19 at Tokyo Big Sight. The eventual digital release will also likely only be in Japanese.
