Limited Run Games and developer Edia have announced Valis: The Fantasm Soldier Collection is coming west digitally and at retail in early 2022.
As mentioned in our previous report, the Valis: The Fantasm Soldier Collection is coming to Nintendo Switch on December 9 in Japan. While the Valis: The Fantasm Soldier Collection is coming west sometime in early 2022, and pre-orders are opening in January 2022.
The August-announced collection is meant to celebrate the series’ 35th anniversary, which also comes in December 2021. The games included are: the Switch ports for Valis: The Fantasm Soldier, Valis II, and Valis III. It’s worth reiterating that all three ports of the first three Valis games are based on the original PC Engine versions.

The origin of beautiful girl action is back on Nintendo Switch! The side-scrolling bishojo action game series “Valis”, which was first released in the 80’s and gained popularity, will celebrate its 35th anniversary in December 2021.
In commemoration of this anniversary, three of the series’ most popular PC Engine titles, “Yume Senshi Varis”, “Varis II” and “Varis III”, have been completely ported to the Nintendo Switch!
Sound mode and visual mode included! The game is equipped with a sound mode and a visual mode that allow you to enjoy the gems of Valis sound and beautiful visual scenes.
In addition, there are many other elements that allow you to fully enjoy Valis, such as the ability to save and load anywhere, and a “rewind” function that allows you to go back and redo any mistakes you make!
