The digging’s done, and we now know what was waiting inside the rock. The website developers Aquaplus had set up to get fans involved in a game reveal has unveiled the existence of an Utawarerumono game subtitled False Mask, which will be released in Japan on September 24 this year. Although Aquaplus has also set up another page on its website for a new Playstation 3 and Vita title, it’s unknown whether that’s for the same or another project.
The existence of an Utawarerumono sequel was first confirmed in 2013, when the developers stated that the project was proceeding well.
The first Utawarerumono game was a fusion of the tactical roleplaying and visual novel genres.
When we know more, we’ll let you know.
