The United States Marine Corps arrive in latest Squad update

Squad

Offworld Industries have released the big 3.0 update for Squad, adding the United States Marine Corps and amphibious vehicles.

The big 3.0 update, appropriately called Amphibious Assault, adds the USMC as a new playable faction. This includes a selection of iconic Marine Corps weapons and vehicles, such as the AAVP-7A1 and the LAV-25.

Since the focus of the new update is amphibious operations, the 3.0 update both adds new amphibious vehicles, and gives amphibious capabilities to existing vehicles like the BTR and BMP variants in the game.

Several maps have been revamped to make use of amphibious capabilities, the game’s water physics have been completely revamped, and the new Black Coast map features an aircraft carrier that the attacking team deploys from to assault a heavily defended beach.
