Unity for Playstation Vita is Now Public, Comes With no Fees, No NDAs

It’s never been a better time to get into game development, and the public preview of Unity for Playstation Vita is a testament to just how seamless the process has been made to develop games for the platform. Featured above, you can see one of the free maps/assets running seamlessly on Vita, a map that is included with Unity whether you get the pro or free version.

While Sony has been running their Playstation Mobile developers program for quite some time now, the program still lacked the extra fidelity that Unity seems to bring with it, when it comes to the easy of development and porting of games to other platforms. The current build of the Unity for PS Vita SDK is still in beta, but it’s already looking fantastic.

If you want to get your hands on the build of Unity that features the Playstation Mobile build option, you can download it here. Due to the restrictions of the platform, however, it only works on the Windows version of Unity.
