UnderRail, an isometric RPG inspired by the old Fallout games, has announced its final release date: 21st of December. The game is known officialy in the beta stage.

UnderRail is a cRPG game set on a post-apocalyptic Earth. As the surface became uninhabitable, humans moved underground and developed a giant, complex metro system in which each station is an independent state.

According to the developers, the game is focused mostly on exploration and combat. Battles in UnderRail are turn-based, not to dissimilar from Jagged Alliance 2, X-Com and especially (given that the game is all about controlling a single character as opposed to a squad) Fallout.

UnderRail has been in Early Access since 2013. According to its creator, Stygian Software, the scope and quality of the game has increased significantly and for this reason, the finished game will cost more than the Early Access version. Those who wish to buy it before the price increases may do so at Steam while the finished game will also be available through GOG and GamersGate.

About

I play games (I have a preference for old, weird and difficult ones but that's not the rule) and write articles about them that are sometimes a bit too long. Sometimes I also do things other than gaming, I swear.
