Uncharted: The Lost Legacy Won’t Have a Nathan Drake Cameo

We haven’t heard much about Uncharted: The Lost Legacy since it was announced in December of last year – however some new details have emerged. Nathan Drake fans will be disappointed, as it sounds like the game is a girls-only story.

In an interview published on the PlayStation Blog, game Director Kurt Margenau said that Drake isn’t showing his face in the spinoff. “We’re not going to touch on Nathan Drake in this, at all,” he explained.

Game writer Josh Scherr elaborated a bit, saying they “entertained a few possible ideas around including Nate as a secondary character,” however they ended up feeling like “everything we did felt superfluous because we tied it all up with Uncharted 4.”

For those wondering what old Nathan is up to while his former lover and his future adversary are off treasure hunting, perhaps he’s just living at home like a normal human being.

“You can sort of imagine Drake sitting on the couch playing Crash Bandicoot while Chloe and Nadine are off galavanting,” Scherr joked. “Yeah, the Crash Bandicoot remaster,” Margenau said in a follow up.

You should read up on the whole blog post linked above, as they go over the creative process behind the game, and where the original concepts sprung up.

A release date for Uncharted: The Lost Legacy isn’t confirmed.
