Umbra’s First Post-Kickstarter Update

It’s been a couple weeks since Umbra reached its funding goal, and in the time since, the open world action RPG has managed to meet its stretch goals and wrap up its campaign. In celebration of that, developer SolarFall games has made their first post-kickstarter update where they thank their fans and lay out a plan for the game’s future:

After a long month of working on the Kickstarter, we at SolarFall Games are counting down the days for us to get back to working on Umbra. We barely got any sleep over the last month, so we’ll be taking a short break while Kickstarter collects the funds from the campaign! This usually takes around two weeks, so once that has been taken care of, and after getting some rest, we’ll get back to Umbra non-stop.
As we mentioned during the campaign, the forums will go up in a couple of months so that you can continue talking about Umbra over there. The first rewards we’ll send are the GDC Prototype to backers at Wizard or higher, and that will happen in a couple of months or so. The Alpha build will be available around November-December 2015 and the Beta will happen next year. And once the game has been completed, we’ll get started on sorting out the physical copies for the game so that we can send that and other physical rewards your way (game discs, soundtrack CDs, art books, 3D printed heroes – male or female available for backers at a tier with the 3D printed hero – hand-cast boss figurine, etc.).

More information, as well as their forums where new info will be revealed, can be found on Umbra‘s official site.
