Umbra Shows Off Its Character Customization System

With Umbra having met its funding goal (currently sitting at $60K above its goal), it’s only a matter of having to wait until we get to play the open world action RPG in all of its Cry-engine powered beauty. To tide us over, developer SolarFall games has been pretty generous in the info they’ve revealed while reaching for those stretch goals. After having shown us its crafting system and its player housing mechanic, they have decided to give us a taste of the character customization engine next.

In today’s update, we want to share with you the early work available for the basic character customization elements in Umbra. As stated before, the initial funding features a male character hero with several customization options, which is why we can develop Umbra with the funds from our main goal of $225,000. Again, we’re incredibly thankful of all of your support, and with your help we’re aiming at creating a great looking female character with her own personalization options, fully integrated into the lore for Umbra.

Besides the character creation system, SolarFall Games also mentioned that they have added a new funding tier at $135, this one adding a new pet skin to the rewards. They also stressed that those who have funded above that tier will automatically get the pet skin added to their own package.
