A third season for the horse girl racing anime Uma Musume: Pretty Derby has been officially announced. Beginning with a manga series in 2018 from Cygames, Uma Musume Pretty Derby is a planned multimedia franchise. The first season of the anime also premiered in the same year as the manga.

Uma Musume Pretty Derby follows the horse girl Special Week who moves to Tokyo to become the best horse girl in Japan. Once she’s in Tokyo, Special Week joins the Tracen Academy where horse girls are trained to perform in races.
