It seems that Capcom’s license to Marvel is just about up, although it’s a shame that they’re letting fans know later rather than sooner. Due to this, they have to remove both Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Marvel vs. Capcom 2 from both the Playstation Network and Xbox Live Arcade.
Capcom is holding a sale on the Playstation Store which will let you at least get the DLC for these games at a 50% discount. They currently don’t have any information regarding the XBLA DLC.
The last day downloadable content for both games will be available on Playstation Network and Xbox Live Arcade is:
- 12/17 for PSN in North America
- 12/19 for PSN in Europe
- 12/26 for XBLA globally
Capcom has not confirmed what day the games will be unavailable, unfortunately, so if you’ve always been on the fence to buy them – get them before they’re gone!
UPDATE: A representative from Capcom has confirmed that the last day you can buy both games is in fact the same as the last day the DLC will be available.
