The official site for the forthcoming Uglymug, Epicfighter (Busamen Gachi Faita) anime has revealed a new promo confirming a premiere date for the adaptation.

The new anime, which is produced by White Fox, will premiere on Tokyo MX starting this summer on July 6th at 11:30 PM Japan time. Here’s the new teaser video:

Based on the original isekai comedy novel and manga by Ryō Hiromatsu, the story follows 34-year old Shigeru Yoshioka (voiced by Junichi Suwabe) who is wrongly convicted of a crime and loses everything, including his trust in women, leading to him becoming a recluse. He discovers a way to travel to another world and when prompted to set his stats, he gives up his appearance for absurdly powerful strength and is reborn as an “Absolute God.”

The new Uglymug, Epicfighter anime is being directed by Toshiyuki Sone at studio White Fox with EGG FIRM producing. Kenta Ihara is serving as the scriptwriter and Miki Matsumoto is handling character designs, with Ryo Kawasaki on the soundtrack.

Other characters and cast members include Seika (voiced by Konomi Inagaki), Seiji (voiced by Kento Shiraishi), and Leeds (voiced by Maaya Uchida). Here’s the official English blurb for the manga from Square Enix’s Manga Up, who publishes the manga in the west:
