Ubisoft PC games are finally coming back to Steam

Ubisoft is seemingly ending their PC games love affair with the Epic Games Store – the publisher is finally bringing their games back to Steam.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Anno 1800 and Roller Champions are the first of their titles to return to Steam, beginning with AC Valhalla on December 6th. Prior to this sudden change, since 2019 their titles were only available on the Epic Games Store, or their own Ubisoft Store.

“We’re constantly evaluating how to bring our games to different audiences wherever they are, while providing a consistent player ecosystem through Ubisoft Connect,” the company said in a statement (via PC Gamer). “Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Anno 1800 and Roller Champions are among the Ubisoft titles that will be releasing on Steam.”

Further details weren’t shared on why the big publisher is returning to Steam, but it is the latest in a number of big publishers ending their very vocal pushback on Valve’s massive platform – and specifically its 30% cut of sales.
