Ubisoft has announced they’re opening a new development studio in the Philippines.
Dubbed simply Ubisoft Philippines, the new studio will open their doors in the second quarter of this year, with Ubisoft proper looking to hire up to 50 people within its first year to collaborate with their other studios – you guessed it, to produce AAA games.
The new studio will be lead by Chip Go, and will be stationed on the De La Salle University campus in Santa Rosa, just south of their capital of Manila. The studio will work closely with Ubisoft Singapore, with some of their founding members migrating to the new studio to train the new hires.
