Ubisoft is Planning a New Splinter Cell Game

This year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo has come and gone, and while Ubisoft had quite a few announcements,

In an interview hosted by Ubisoft themselves, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot let slip that the company is fielding new concepts for a game within the Splinter Cell series.

“What we can say is we’re receiving a lot of sketches and proposals around the brand and we’re going to pick one up,” he said. “I think you will be able to see something, but you will have to wait for that.”

So there you have it – the company is planning on a new game in the series – we’ll just have to wait a bit longer for an official announcement.

The most recent game in the series, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Blacklist, was released back in 2013 for PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii U. It had Eric Johnson replacing series mainstay Michael Ironside, who is rumored to return in a new game for the series.
