Ubisoft has announced a collaboration with Netflix for 3 games which will be available to only those with a Netflix subscription.
This is following in line with the latter company’s plans towards putting more games on their service, which they hope will combat the decrease of subscribers they’ve suffered for the first time earlier this year.
Details of the new games are scant outside of the planned releases in 2023. That said, they are also all titles which are based on existing franchises including arguably their largest in Assassin’s Creed.
Here’s a quick look at the three games Ubisoft has announced:
- Valiant Hearts sequel – The first game in the partnership will be a sequel to Valiant Hearts, the World War I-set puzzle-adventure. Directed by the team behind the first game, the new story will launch in January 2023.
- Mighty Quest for Epic Loot sequel – Also coming in 2023 is a new Mighty Quest for Epic Loot, which will bring Netflix members a roguelite-inspired hack-and-slash adventure.
- Assassin’s Creed mobile game – Finally, there’s big news for Assassin’s Creed fans: in addition to the live-action Assassin’s Creed series being developed for Netflix, an original Assassin’s Creed mobile game is in the works as well.
Note that the Assassin’s Creed mobile game mentioned in this announcement is not the same as Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade, which was announced by Ubisoft recently too.
