TxK, the Playstation Vita remake of the Atari Jaguar game Tempest 2000, is finally available in both North America and Europe. The game was originally set to release late last year, but it saw a bit of a delay into this year.

In TxK, you travel down a never-ending tunnel while obstacles continue to fly at you – naturally you must shoot and destroy them. The game is wizardry in motion, the brilliant use of simple yet eye-popping vector graphics paired with pumping electronic music will easily have you coming back for more.

The game’s creator, Jeff Minter, had this to say regarding the Vita release:

“We’ve tried to create something that is pure and beautiful in the same way as the old abstract vector-graphics arcade games, but vibrant and modern in aspect and effects as you play. You’ll blast your way through 100 levels and 3 different game modes to keep you challenged whether you want a long session or a quick 5 minutes of gaming on the go.”

TxK is currently available for $9.99 on the Playstation Store, or $7.99 if you’re a Playstation Plus member.
