Elon Musk’s continues his efforts to fully transform Twitter into X.

The newest change was turning tweets into posts, as the platform distances itself from its past.

Musk’s plans for the platform are to turn it into much more than a social media, equating it to China’s WeChat, a platform that is basically indispensable for its users.

Linda Yaccarino, Twitter/X’s CEO has also gone on to state something similar:

X is the future state of unlimited interactivity – centered in audio, video, messaging, payments/banking – creating a global marketplace for ideas, goods, services, and opportunities. Powered by AI, X will connect us all in ways we’re just beginning to imagine.

Most of Twitter/X’s changes have been coming without much fanfare, some even happening with no announcement at all.

It is unknown what the future holds for the platform, as Elon Musk works to turn it into an all-encompassing app.
