It seems Microsoft is working with Twitch to bring fully dedicated Twitch app streaming to the Xbox One next month, on March 11th.
This new update will allow Xbox One users to live stream games from their console, join in on other streams, or start a stream via the Kinect’s voice commands, save their clips to the HDD, and of course – watch a stream from any other device that supports it.
Xbox One users can currently only watch streams from other devices and record gameplay from the console’s built in Upload Studio functionality. Twitch CEO Emmett Shear said that this update is “complete integration” for the platform.
In comparison, full Twitch integration has been available on the Playstation 4 since its debut in the Americas, although this was due in part to Sony collaborating with the developer to work fully on the platform.
