Apogee Entertainment and Trigger Happy Interactive have announced the immediate release of Turbo Overkill: Ultimate Edition.
On top of a FREE quality of life update, like the long-requested controller configurations on both PC and consoles, fans will be able to to get their hands on an art book, soundtrack sampler and a Turbo Overkill: Original Syn prequel comic.
Turbo Overkill has been available on PC (via Steam, EGS, GOG and Humble Bundle), Switch, PlayStation 4|5, and Xbox Series X|S. Get our review here! The Ultimate Edition is available for $24.99 and the upgrade to Ultimate Edition is $4.99.
Here’s the rundown on the new release:
In Turbo Overkill, players take on the role of bounty hunter Johnny Turbo, a half-man, half-metal murder machine who’s tasked with one not-so-simple instruction: clean up the streets of mutant scum and stop an AI overlord’s conquest to control the cityscape, all while competing against enemy bounty hunters for the ultimate cash prize. Equipped with a chainsaw leg and an arsenal of weapons you could only dream of, players will shoot, maneuver, or simply plow straight through enemy hordes — the choice is yours.
The launch of Turbo Overkill: Ultimate Edition marks not only a celebration of the game’s legacy but also the arrival of a massive FREE quality-of-life update for all players across platforms. This update brings a host of player-requested improvements, including highly requested controller configurations for those playing on consoles or with a controller on PC! Gyro control support has been added for the PlayStation 5, with additional adaptive trigger support for the PlayStation 5’s DualSense.
But that’s not all; Turbo Overkill: Ultimate Edition includes a 140-page art book with a soundtrack sampler. And to coincide with the launch, the digital Turbo Overkill: Original Syn prequel comic that dives deeper into Johnny Turbo’s backstory and provides additional context around each enemy’s motives is now available for free in-game for owners. Sweet, huh?
