Publisher THQ Nordic Japan and developer Tatsujin announced Truxton Extreme is wrapping up development, news confirmed alongside a new PC port.
Truxton Extreme is coming to PC (via Steam) alongside its previously announced PS5 version. A playable demo will be available as part of Steam Next Fest in June.

Thrilling for Everyone! Packed with Diverse Modes
TATSUJIN EXTREME offers various modes for anyone to easily enjoy the exhilaration of shooting games, including Story Mode—featuring the series’ first space battles and a grand narrative depicting human drama—and the familiar Arcade Mode.
Story Mode immerses players with the newly developed “Interactive Digital Comic,” where scenes dynamically unfold within comic panels, offering a fresh experience that blends shooting games with comics. Arcade Mode lets you chase high scores or enjoy thrilling, endless loop gameplay.
Collecting the “Pipiruville Aliens” that appear when enemies are destroyed allows you to develop “PIPIRUVILLE”.
Playing repeatedly levels up your ship, and using specific weapons in specific locations can destroy certain gimmicks. Each playthrough offers new discoveries, providing fresh experiences for both complete beginners and shooters with superhuman skills.
The fusion of digital comics and games: Shooting games enter a new era
In ‘TATSUJIN EXTREME’, you can simultaneously enjoy a massive “Interactive Digital Comic” developed specifically to fuse with the shooting game.
Story
In a future where humanity has expanded colonization to seven Earth-like planets… Humans lived in peace until they were suddenly attacked by an alien civilization. Having abolished their military system, humanity lost all seven colonized planets to the assault. To rebuild their military, they completed an advanced tactical fighter. However, it was not designed for human pilots to operate, requiring them to sacrifice their physical bodies. Would anyone volunteer to sacrifice themselves and throw themselves into battle…? To reclaim the seven colonized planets and protect Earth from the invaders’ threat, the heroes who chose this arduous path were reverently called by the people: ‘TATSUJIN’.
