Call of the Sea developer Out of the Blue Games shared an extended trailer to their latest game American Arcadia at Summer Game Fest 2022.
American Arcadia is a ’70s-inspired retro-futurist puzzle platformer. The game features a plot, not unlike the 1990’s hit The Truman Show. In American Arcadia, you play as Trevor a man stuck inside a town of the same name, a sprawling metropolis that is actually a hidden camera reality show that is televised to the world.
Unfortunately for Trevor, he’s a pretty boring regular guy and being a boring normal dude does not get ratings and characters with low ratings go bye-bye, so when Trevor gets an anonymous call from someone outside of the game promising to help him escape he takes the opportunity.
