Publisher Kalypso Media and developer Gaming Minds Studios announced a closed beta for Tropico 7, the latest in their dictator sim / city builder series.

The new closed beta test will kick off on March 31st for Windows PC (via Steam and the Microsoft Store) and will run for two weeks. You can apply here.

Here’s a blurb on the beta:

The playtest focuses on gathering feedback on core gameplay systems, political mechanics, and two selected campaign parts from the Colonial Times and World Wars and two scenario missions in the Cold War and Modern Times. The Closed Beta supports English and German text.

Tropico 7 is in development for Windows PC (via Steam, the Microsoft Store, and the Epic Games Store), Xbox Series X|S, and PS5 with a release set for 2026.
