Silence of the Sleep is a psychological horror/adventure game developed by one man, Jesse Makkonen. We’ve covered the game before, but now we’ve gotten a release date for the game – October 1st.

While Makkonen is responsible for everything in the game from the art, animation, and music, the game itself is honing a really trippy and creepy atmosphere. You can view the results of this in the above gameplay video for Silence of the Sleep, which I can only seem to describe as a “trippy Silent Hill.”

The story within Silence of the Sleep involves a man named Jacob Reeves, a man who has lost his will to live. In throwing his life away to the abyss, he wakes up in a strange land with no memory of his past life, and only the horrors that lie in wait.

Silence of the Sleep will be available for PC via Steam.
