Idea Factory International and Compile Heart’s upcoming Vita-exclusive RPG, Trillion: God of Destruction, has just been blessed with a new trailer, this time showing a couple snippets of gameplay along with close-ups of the female overlords that you’ll be guiding when it comes west next Spring.
The premise of the game continues the company’s theme of wink-and-nodding its way through RPG tropes with the overlords battling a super-boss who, quote, “has over a Trillion hit points”. It’s that special brand of silly that Idea Factory fans know and love, especially with the six overlords you command being named after (and exemplifying) one of the bible’s deadly sins.
The goal, provided the girls bond with the player, is to drive back Trillion before he lays waste to the entire overworld. To facilitate this, the player assumes the role of their master and trainer, the great overlord Zeabolos. After having been destroyed by Trillion, he makes a deal with a necromancer, Faust, to be permitted to come back and get his revenge. Doing so requires forming relationships with the six lady demons by triggering special events. In-between encounters with Trillion – who slumbers for a certain amount of time – players must train and equip their adorable-looking demon lords in order to survive the next battle with Trillion as the beast marches ever closer to the depths of the underworld.
This is the first game of the new Makai Ichiban Kan series, with the second one, Death Under The Labyrinth, due to hit Japan this December 17th.
