Trademark Renewal Shows Capcom Still Committed To Deep Down

Though we haven’t heard much from Capcom concerning their Dark Souls inspired RPG Deep Down, a recent extension of the game’s trademark in the United States should allay fears that it might end up as vaporware.

Originally, Deep Down was planning to launch its beta in 2014, which was quickly pushed back into 2015. When even the 2015 date could not be met, Capcom apologized last December with a couple of new screenshots.

Given the success of Capcom’s other RPG in the west, Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, it makes sense that they wouldn’t want to give up on Deep Down. We’ll keep you posted when and if any more information becomes available.
