Matt Makes Games has announced the release date for the Dark World expansion, revealed in November of last year, for Towerfall: Ascension.

Featured above, you can view a brand new trailer for the new expansion, which goes over all the new features and additions you can expect. “What started as a single new level set with a new archer ballooned into 4 level sets, 10 archers, procedurally generated levels, a new co-­op mode, boss battles, new powerups, and more,” said creator Matt Thorson.

The expansion is described as being so large that it “pushes every aspect of the game further in surprising and meaningful ways.” Featured below, you can even sample 20 minutes of the game being played by the folks at Playstation Underground:
