Totem Pokemon, the large Pokemon found in Pokemon Sun & Moon are basically trapped, all official ways to transfer the larger-than-life Pokemon will see them randomized in terms of their height and weight.
While this may seem like a minor issue, there are dedicated collectors and Pokemon fans who enjoy having the unique monsters. But anyone wanting to bring their Totem Mons over to Scarlet & Violet will be disappointed as any unique identifiers are stripped from them.
The Totem Pokemon are even stripped of their “large” status and aren’t guaranteed to receive a “Jumbo Sticker” when being appraised by an in-game NPC for any unique attributes.
This problem has been fixed on Pokemon GO however, with Pokemon categorized as XXS being eligible for “Mini Stickers” as recently as June 2023.
Good news everyone
The GO to HOME transfer system has been fixed and XXS Pokémon from GO will now be eligible for the Mini Mark!
Just tested with my XXS Clauncher and voila, Mini Mark! pic.twitter.com/gydvK8JRj0

A possible reason for this distinction, is that Pokemon from GO are still randomized, while Totem Pokemon are always big. It could be a matter of keeping that special factor instead of distinguishing Pokemon who are unique by virtue of the game’s mechanics (is the Red Gyrados in Gold & Silver -really- a shiny?). But that’s a discussion for another time.
