Following the premature leak of Total War: Warhammer last January, Sega and Creative Assembly have just confirmed the game’s existence.

Featured above, a cinematic trailer was revealed for the game. This is the first time a fantasy-based game has been made in the Total War series, so this is certainly exciting. Fans can expect a traditional campaign of sorts, real time tactical battles, and more.

As with the Warhammer lore, you can also expect to be making use of the various factions seen in the franchise, like the Vampire Counts, the Empire, among others. Finally, Creative Assembly also confirmed that alongside Total War: Warhammer are two standalone expansions for the game, making a trilogy of games, stuffed with extra content packs, making it the “single largest Total War experience ever”.
