[Comment by Toshihiko Seki]

We apologize again for the inconvenience caused to many people by the new coronavirus. Thanks to you, my physical condition was completely recovered and I was able to be safely discharged from the hospital today. Once again, I am deeply sorry for the people involved who had a hard time with me during this hospital stay. At the same time, we thank you for all the warm feelings of everyone. In addition, despite the recent rapid increase in the number of infected people, I am merely depressed to the medical staff who are devoted to dealing with it every day. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you. No matter how careful you are, it is never perfect. From the practice of “hand washing” that has always been a daily practice, I would like to work again without being alert. We look forward to your continued support.

Seki’s notable works include voicing Naruto’s first mentor Umino Iruka, Randolph in If It’s for My Daughter, I’d Even Defeat a Demon Lord, Duo Maxwell in Gundam Wing, and Senketsu in Kill la Kill.

Seki makes a new high profile case in Japan who has reported sharply rising cases of the coronavirus in the past few weeks despite Prime Minister Shinzo Abe ending the country’s state of emergency in late May.

In earlier news The Japanese Heath Ministry has discovered antibodies that can neutralize the coronavirus. However, a study by the UK’s King’s College London claims that those with immunity will lose it after three months. The Epic Universe expansion for Universal Studios Orlando has also been delayed indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic, in turn delaying Super Nintendo World.
