Pocketwatch Games have confirmed they’re bringing their furry-themed real-time strategy game Tooth and Tail to PlayStation 4.
Tooth and Tail is described as a distilled approach to the real-time strategy genre, with a focus on creative strategy rather than APM and inscrutible micro-managing. Players will have access to customizable factions, crazy units like mustard-gas skunks and flamethrowing boars, and more.
The game is set within a land of anthropomorphic animals fighting revolutionary battles. The developers are making full use of the DualShock 4 controller, and will also support both online and local split-screen multiplayer.
Here are the game’s key features:
- Story Mode: Playing as the leader of the Longcoats, Arroyo Bellafide, you build a fortress of defensive emplacements and lead a squadron of drunken squirrels into battle
- Up to 4 players, includes split-screen support.
- Online Play
- Original soundtrack by Grammy Nominee Austin Wintory
- Randomly generated maps

A release date for Tooth and Tail is still nowhere in sight, however Pocketwatch Games regularly livestream themselves playing the game, over on their official Twitch channel. Once released, the game will be available for PC, Mac, Linux, and PlayStation 4.
