An anime adaptation of Tomo-chan is a Girl! (Tomo-chan wa Onnanoko) has been announced for the Winter 2023 anime season.
Tomo-chan is a Girl! follows Aizawa Tomo, a young girl in love with her childhood friend Jun. There’s just one problem, Jun can’t see Tomo as anything other than his bro. The two grew up together and Jun had no idea until they went to the same junior high and he saw Tomo wearing the girls’ uniform.
The series is the breakout hit of creator Fumita Yanagida. The series was published on Twitter before finally being compiled in volumes and released by Kodansha. The manga is released in English by Seven Seas Entertainment.
