Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege: Shadow Legacy Operator Gameplay Gadget and Starter Tips

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege

Ubisoft have revealed more information about Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell’s Sam Fisher joining Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, along with the Shadow Legacy season update.

Fisher joins the game with the callsign Zero, armed with a powerful rifle and a new intel-focused gadget. Sam is a Medium Speed Medium Armor Attacker, armed with his 3000K assault rifle, an MP7, and a 5-point USG 7 with a suppressor.

Fisher is also armed with an Argus Launcher, a camera that can be launched through breakable and even reinforced walls to latch onto a surface on the other side. The camera can then look on either side of the wall or floor/ceiling it has penetrated. The camera can even shot a laser one time to destroy other cameras, gadgets, or deal minor damage to enemies.

Year 5 Pass holders will get Fisher for free when the Shadow Legacy season launches, while others can buy the character seven days later via renown or R6 Credits.

The season also includes “Ping 2.0,” improved pings when marking foes providing more information such as gadgets, points of interest, and who made the ping. Weapon optics also have new zooms and redesigned sights; players can also customize the color and opacity of their targeting reticle.

Defenders will also have a shared Reinforcements Pool, meaning more entry points can be more quickly barricaded. Attackers will have a Secondary Breacher to compensate. Thatcher’s EMP Grenades now temporarily disable a gadget, rather than destroy them.

The Match Replay feature will be entering alpha on the test server- letting players rewatch their last 12 matches from any player’s view. This is ideal for learning new tactics, or sharing highlight reels.

A map banning system is also coming to the game, acting much like the operator pick & ban phase. The Chalet map has also been reworked, such as repelling all the way up the rooftop, the master bedroom no longer has access to the terrace, and there are now interior stairs down to the trophy room. There is also a new basement corridor, and a window above the garage door.
