Tokyo to Hold Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Art Exhibit In October

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba

A new art exhibit featuring works from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba creator Koyoharu Gotouge will debut in Tokyo in October.

As reported by Comic Natalie, the art exhibit will make an appearance in Tokyo before being relocated to Osaka next year.

The exhibit will feature original art from the Demon Slayer creator himself, including obscure and speculatively never-before-seen works. The exhibit will be featured October 26th through December 12th at the Mori Arts Center Gallery in Tokyo.

The exhibit will then move locations and be displayed in Osaka sometime in the Summer of next year.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba began as a manga series in 2016 and ended its run after 23 volumes in May 2020. The series premiered as an anime in 2019 which was followed by the wildly successful Demon Slayer: Mugen Train film. Demon Slayer: Mugen Train managed to become the highest grossing film ever in Japan despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic affecting theaters.

The success if Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is all the more impressive as it’s only Gotouge’s third published work, his first only running for four chapters and his second one is only a one-shot. Gotouge is known for his distinct art style featuring sharp angles and unique eyes that are both expressive and glossy.

It’s unknown at present if the exhibit will be available virtually or otherwise make its way to overseas fans.
