Indie developer HumaNature Studios have announced that ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove is finally launching this fall.
The long-awaited, Kickstarter-funded sequel will launch for Windows PC and consoles this fall, news confirmed alongside the reveal that the title will no longer be published by Adult Swim Games. Featured above, you can view a new trailer for the game.
“Adult Swim Games has some other big titles they plan to launch this summer so when Back in the Groove pushed back, we both agreed that it made sense for them to hand us the reigns, rather than taking a chance on this getting pushed back any more,” HumaNature Studios founder Greg Johnson said in a statement.
A closed beta for the game is planned “within the next couple of weeks” for Kickstarter early-access backers.
HumaNature Studios also confirmed the Switch version of the game is still coming, noting that “the Switch version of the game is just about ready to be submittd for certification by Nintendo, and the other console versions are not too far behind.”
