Toei releases new details for GIRLS BAND CRY anime project

Girls Band Cry

Toei has released some new details and music videos for their upcoming GIRLS BAND CRY anime project.

The YouTube channel for the series has seen a burst of activity with two music videos based on the upcoming anime as well as a description to give us an idea of what the series is about.

[Introduction]
The main character drops out of high school in her second year, and aims at entering a university while working alone in Tokyo.

A girl is betrayed by her friends and doesn’t know what to do.

Another girl is abandoned by her parents, and tries to survive in the city by doing part-time jobs.

This world lets us down all the time.

Nothing goes as planned.

But we want something that we can continue to like.

We believe there’s a place where we belong. That’s why we sing.

You can check out the music videos for “no rhyme or reason” and “Nameless Name” below.

Both music videos use different styles with a sketch-like and choppy animation in “no rhyme or reason” and gratuitous use of 3D animation in “Nameless Name”. We can’t be certain what the actual anime series will look like just yet.
