Skyrim director Todd Howard has continued teasing The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for Nintendo Switch.
In an interview with Glixel, Howard talked up Skyrim running on the new Nintendo console. “It’s the same game on the TV and on the other screen,” Howard said.
He also talked up a hands-on demo he received of the console at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo. “I love it. I got to play it,” he said. “… One of the best demos I’ve ever seen. Probably the best demo I’ve ever seen. At E3.”
It’s worth mentioning that while Skyrim was prominently shown in the Nintendo Switch reveal, Bethesda hasn’t officially confirmed the game’s release on the console. That hasn’t stopped Todd from praising the console, though. “I think it’s really smart what they’re doing [with Nintendo Switch],” Howard said.
Bethesda is officially supporting the console, however. “We’re definitely going to be supporting it. It’s the first time we’ve done something on Nintendo — if you don’t count the old NES stuff,” Howard said.
We’ll be seeing more information for Nintendo’s console on January 12th in a new video showcase.
Could this mean we’ll finally see a Bethesda game on a Nintendo console? Sound off in the comments with your expectations!
