TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge has no current plans for DLC, but not ruled out either

With the new release of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, it’s safe to assume DLC might is possible.

We learned DLC isn’t in the cards now as there are currently no plans for releasing post-launch content for TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge, however it could arrive sometime later.

“For alternate costumes, it really was not thought of during production because we’re very proud of our animations, and the animations are really detailed, and they’re filled with character. They’re really animated with minute details, which means that making them takes a long time,” narrative designer Yannick Belzil said on the Xbox Expansion Pass podcast.

He added, “I always thought that it’d be cool if the Turtles could be in trench coats and hats the way they were incognito in the old cartoons. But again, that would take a whole lot of time, and especially with our animators – like, they’d want the trench coat to be flowing, and you’d want it to be dynamic.”

These statements were taken by some other outlets like IGN who then ran stories claiming there would be no DLC for the game at all. This prompted a response from Dotemu CEO and TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge executive producer Cyrille Imbert.

“Some clarification here: There won’t be alternative costumes at launch and we don’t have DLC plans so far, but we never said “never”. It will depend on many factors like the game’s reception and the ideas/feedback that the awesome community will send us,” Imbert said on Twitter.

So while there aren’t currently developing DLC as of right now – there is naturally a possibility for it some time down the road based on the factors given by Imbert.
