Oh boy, yet another butchered Star Wars game by the hands of EA and now Respawn.

How much you wanna bet it’s an EA Star Wars Battlefront sequel that’s just as bad as the first?

Yeah I didn’t know what to really go with that. There’s practically no information. I think they literally just signed the deal today

Disney killed Star Wars, and EA is raping its corpse.
Lovely. Whelp, at least I still have the books and the older games.

The books and older games are the golden era of Star Wars IMO.

So right after EA gets DICE to make a Star Wars game that’s unfinished, for the next game they get a studio who’s last game was unfinished. Couldn’t be a more perfect pairing.

It doesn’t sound like it’s Rogue Squadron!
Maybe if we’re lucky, we’ll luck out on it being a new series instead of one we care about.

Nah, it’ll be a below average action game like God of War set in the SW universe, fairly safe bet given the director.

Man, Platinum’s already doing every other license under the sun; how hard would it be to call them up and do an MGR-reskin Jedi game?

You wouldn’t even need to write a new story, just scribble in Senator Palpatine wherever the script says Senator Armstrong and you’re good to go.

That sounds perfect, but I don’t know about Platinum working with EA (Their Activision stuff has been okay so far, I guess).

That’s like saying Gundam will fall into obscurity in Japan because of a flood of mediocre games and anime. Star Wars has become ingrained into Western pop culture, for better or worse.

I really liked Stig’s work in God of War 3, so I wouldn’t mind another Jedi Academy or Forced Unleased type of game from him.

Some sorry sap I know bought Titanfall at launch for full price. I picked it up for ten bucks and got all the dlc for free. And guess who played it for longer?

EA knows their audience, that’s for sure. The “EA” stands for “Early Access”.

The movies are mediocre at best. It’s only saved by the lightsabers and the fact it’s a fairytale soap opera set in space. The former giving it it’s cool factor and the latter giving it the mass appeal.
