Previously, Nintendo held a fan art contest for Zelda fans on the Wii U via the Art Academy: Sketch Pad app that is available on the console. The results from that contest were staggering, and with the recent Animal Crossing fan art contest, we have seen equally amazing results, as seen above.
The theme of this contest was to cover one of the four seasons in the game, and naturally the winners would probably be the ones who incorporated various activities in game like fishing, swimming, bug catching, and so on. The winners were chosen by none other than co-director Aya Kyogoku, who stepped into the helm on the latest game in the series, New Leaf.
Four winners were chosen from each of the four seasons, as well as four runners up, although there were probably too many to count from all around the world. You can view the full set of winners and runners up here, via the contest’s official page.
