These Monster Hunter Emblazoned Beer Steins are Making Me Thirsty

As I’ve come of age and started my own family, not many things have changed – a few of them are my love for Monster Hunter, and my love for beer. I enjoy beer of all colors and tastes, but I most especially love ridiculous beer equipment – like old fashioned beer steins.

Capcom is commemorating an entire series of beer steins for the weary adventurer and out of work monster hunter, and boy do they look amazing! Sure, they may not be as mesmerizing as a solid gold felyne statue, but you can probably manage to afford these mugs!

The steins themselves come in various sizes, the smallest of which being the 380ml one (featured above) with the felynes, leading to a giant 1 litre mug that is emblazoned with either the Monster Hunter logo, or a Guild crest.

In case you were worried these aren’t the real deal, yes they are made of actual wood – Japanese cedar or beech to be specific. Am I making you reach for your favorite ale, or (god help you) one of those hop-y IPAs?

When you’re finished sloshing fermented wheat or hops down your gullet, you’re greeted with a giant, encouraging “QUEST CLEAR” message at the bottom.

Oh Capcom, it’s things like this that remind me that sometimes you really do listen to your fans. Oh, wait – nevermind.

All of the steins range in price from 5,184 yen (about $50 USD) for the modest mugs, all the way to 8,424 yen (about $82 USD) for the 1L behemoths.

If you’re already tearing at your wallet or purse to get moneys to throw at your screen, you can indeed preorder them here, via Capcom Japan’s online store.

Shipping kicks off on September 30th, but I have no idea if you can import these bad boys it’s been brought to my attention that shipping is domestic only – unless one of you dear readers wants to buy me one and task me to recording videos of me getting slobbering drunk from using them?
