The Wonderful 101: Remastered First Trailer

The Wonderful 101: Remastered

PlatinumGames have revealed the first look at The Wonderful 101: Remastered.

The game had been announced February 3rd as part of the “Platinum 4” announcements, and undertaking a Kickstarter campaign. The Platinum 4 announcements focused on PlatinumGames’ venture into self-publishing.

The Kickstarter has earned over 235,320,528 yen (est. $2,116,444 USD). The original goal was 5.425 million yen (est. $50,785 USD).

The achieved stretch goals also mean more platforms, a time attack mode, side-scrolling modes dubbed Luka’s First Mission and Luka’s Second Mission, a remixed soundtrack, and (thanks to donations via Twitch), a full orchestral re-recording of The Won-Stoppable 100 and Tables Turn.

The game sees the Wonderful 100 (with you being number 101), heroes who defend the Earth. Thanks to their Wonder-Pendants, they can transform into heroes, and unite- literally.

Led by newbie Wonder Red against the GEATHJERK alien invasion, players can find the other members of the Wonderful 100, and create giant hands, swords, and whatever else is needed with their hero friends.

As the title originally launched on the Wii U (which utilized two screens), many were unsure how it would work. During the trailer, we see a snippet of what would have been on the main screen (while players had to pay attention to the second screen) in the lower right hand corner of the screen.

You can find the English and Japanese trailers below:

The Wonderful 101: Remastered launches May 19th (in North America), May 22nd (in Europe), and June 11th (in Japan), on Windows PC (via Steam), Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4.
