Netflix have released a new trailer for upcoming animated prequel movie The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf.Â
As previously reported; the new animated film focuses on Vesemir, a veteran witcher of Kaer Morhen who later becomes the mentor to Geralt of Rivia. The new trailer shows that while Vesemir has escaped poverty, he must face the demons of his past and a new threat rising.

The animated movie is produced by Studio Mir; the South Korean company known for The Legend of Korra, Voltron: Legendary Defender, and more. The movie is also written by the same writers for the live-action series adaptation of The Witcher; Lauren S. Hissrich and Beau DeMayo.
The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf premieres August 23 on Netflix.
