We haven’t really heard anything regarding Netflix’s upcoming TV series based on Andrzej Sapkowski’s popular fantasy Witcher series after its announcement, however a new report points to the show finally landing its main writer.

Variety is reporting that Marvel writer Lauren Schmidt has been hired to adapt the series into a television show. She’s known for her work on Daredevil, Power, and more recently The Defenders.

It’s worth pointing out the TV adaptation is focused on the original novels, and not the video game adaptations seen by CD Projekt RED. The series is being produced by Sean Daniel, with the original author Andrzej Sapkowski overseeing the entire production.
