The Witcher 3 Breaks Street Date, Xbox1 720p Footage Leaked

Breaking street dates is rather common, and while a highly anticipated CRPG like The Witcher 3 isn’t immune to them, the fact that it was leaked in the United Arab Emirates does make it a bit of an oddity amongst other such cases of leaking. With CD Projekt putting DRM on the first launch run of the PC version to prevent situations like this, it seems a similar protection wasn’t used on the Xbox 1 and PS4 versions of the game.

A post on their forums discusses the leak and the punishments gamers will receive for taking part in it. Apparently, streaming the game will result in the streamer being slapped with a DMCA. Even Twitch sent out a warning.

Regardless, footage has shown up online, such as the video above. You can plainly see the Arabic text, which backs up the claims of it leaking in the Middle East. Though a trip to the UAE will net you the game, you can wait stateside for its official (legal) release this May 19th.
